Primary visual cortex (V1)

The primary visual cortex is the first location visual information from the lateral geniculate nucleus goes to. It is made up of six layers, and layer 4 receives the information from the lateral geniculate nucleus. The primary visual cortex gets visual information and is the first to process the information.
