Animal tie

Tö refers the use of a long rope to tie tamed livestock to limit its movements. It is also applied to calf to prevent it from stealing milk from its mother, or to tie up livestock that follow other families' livestock. Therefore, tö ropes are commonly used and are a vital item in animal husbandry. Tö rope is made from livestock hair or fleece: one end is tied to the livestock, the other end is either tied to a wooden stake or metal peg. There are also tö ropes made of hide. Sometimes, different regions use these ropes for other purposes.
