The Oblique Case (ལ་)

Traditionally referred to as ལ་དོན་, literally “meaning of ‘to’,” indicates the person or goal to which an action is directed, as well as place and direction, and corresponds to the English prepositions “to” or “at”; it may also mark a subordinate purpose clause, in which case it is translatable by “to” or “in order to.”
