The Agentive Case (གིས་)

Traditionally referred to as བྱེད་​​སྒྲ་, literally “agent-sound,” indicates the agent of the action (“by”), the instrument (“with”), the cause (“because of,” “by”), and the manner (“with”); it also marks causal subordinate clauses, in which case it may be translated by “since,” “because,” etc.
