The auxiliary ཡིན་པ་ཡོད་ implies that the speaker has only a vague recollection of what he is saying. It may be translated by “I seem to remember that…,” or “I vaguely remember that….”

• བོད་ཀྱི་འོང་སྐོར་བཏང་ཡག་དེ་ཟླ་བ་བརྒྱད་པའི་ནང་ལ་ཡིན་པ་ཡོད། “(I seem to remember that) the harvest festival takes place in August.”
• སློབ་གྲ་ཆེན་མོའི་ནང་ལ་དབྱར་ཁའི་གུང་སང་གཟའ་འཁོར་བདུན་ཡིན་པ་ཡོད། “(I vaguely recall that) the university summer vacation lasts seven weeks.”
