• ཆེ་རུ་འགྲོ་ “To grow bigger,” “to get bigger”
• ཆེ་རུ་བཏང་ “To make bigger”

• ཡག་པོ་ “Good”
• ཡག་རུ་འགྲོ་ “To get better”
• ཡག་རུ་བཏང་ “To improve, make better”

The past form of རུ་འགྲོ་ is རུ་ཕྱིན་.

In Literary Tibetan, the formation of the oblique follows the usual rules:

• རིང་པོ་ “Long”
• རིང་རུ་གཏང་ “To lengthen”
• རིང་དུ་བཏང་ “To lengthen” (Literary)

• ཐུང་ཐུང་ “Short”
• ཐུང་རུ་བཏང་ “To shorten”
• ཐུང་དུ་བཏང་ “To shorten” (Literary)

• མགྱོགས་པོ་ “Fast”
• མགྱོགས་རུ་བཏང་ “To accelerate”
