Adjectives can be transformed into adverbs by the addition of the suffix བྱས་, which is derived from the verb “to do”:

• སྐྱིད་པོ་ “Pleasant”
• སྐྱིད་པོ་བྱས་ “Pleasantly”
• ལྷོད་ལྷོད་བྱས་བཞུགས་དོ། “Let’s sit here quietly.”
