These connectives go directly after the verb. They are always associated with the present-future form. The connective དུས་ means “when” or “while”; ཤུལ་རིང་ཀར་ means “during.”

• གླིང་ག་བཏང་(གཏོང་)དུས་རྩེད་མོ་རྩེད་གི་རེད། “When they picnic, they have fun.”
• ཁོ་རང་རྒྱ་ནག་ལ་བསྡད་(སྡོད་)དུས་ཁྱིའི་ཤ་བཟས་པ་རེད། “While he was living in China, he ate dog-meat.”
• ཐུབ་བསྟན་ལགས་པེ་ཅིང་ལ་བཞུགས་དུས་རྒྱ་མིའི་གསོ་བ་རིག་པ་ལ་སློབ་གཉེར་གནང་པ་རེད། “While he was living in Peking, Tupten studied Chinese medicine.”
• མོག་མོག་བཟོ་ཤུལ་རིང་ཀར་སྐད་ཆ་མང་པོ་བཤད་སོང་། “They talked a lot while they were making momos.”
• ཤིང་ཏོག་ཉོ་ཤུལ་རིང་ཀར་ཏང་ག་རིལ་རྐུ་མ་ལ་ཤོར་སོང་། “Our bicycle was stolen while we were buying fruit.”
