In general, non-volitional verbs cannot take an imperative. However, the verb may be followed by the expression པར་བྱེད་ which means “to see to it that.”

• མ་བརྗེད་པར་བྱེད་ཨ། “Don’t forget!” (“See to it that you don’t forget.”)
• སྤུ་གུ་མ་ཤོར་པར་བྱེད་ད། “Don’t lose the child!”
