Articles and Number Markers
The marker of the definite plural ཚོ་ is used in both Spoken and Literary Tibetan. There are, however, two other markers, དག་ and རྣམས་, that occur in the literary language (and in some dialects) are hardly ever used in Standard Spoken Tibetan. The indefinite singular marker ཅིག་ is used in both registers, but is spelled in three ways in the literary language: ཞིག་, ཤིག་, and ཅིག་, depending on the last letter of the preceding word (xxlink MST 6.3.1).
