Negative Belief

The Bhutanese world is a very pious and spiritually oriented one. As a result, Bhutanese have a plethora of beliefs concerning all aspects of life. These beliefs, concerning astrological significance, religious faiths, natural omens, etc. often influence people's outlooks, attitudes and daily life. Some objects, occurances and events are viewed as being omnimous and negative, and thus eschewed in life. If people encounter negative omens which lead to negative beliefs, some corrective rituals are conducted to overcome the negative.
