The Bhutanese world is a very pious and spiritually oriented one. As a result, Bhutanese have a plethora of beliefs concerning all aspects of life. These beliefs, concerning astrological significance, religious faiths, natural omens, etc. often influence people's outlooks, attitudes and daily life. Some objects, occurances and events are viewed as being auspicious and positive while others are neagtive. A great many beliefs are considered to be neither positive nor negative but neutral in nature.
