Silnyen Cymbal

The silnyen cymbal is used as representation of the offering of pleasant sound. Except in a few special rituals, it is played only as secondary cymbal accompanying the rolmo cymbal. When the silnyen is played as main metal instrument, the drum is beaten with two sticks. Unlike the rolmo, silnyen cymbal is flat except for the bulging handle for playing it.
