Many objects used in religious rituals and services are made of iron, brass, bronze, silver or other metals. Vessels for offering of food, fruits and drinks are made of iron or brass. Almost every household will have a set of seven cups for offering water in the shrineroom which are made of metal. Similarly, censor for burning incense and chalices for burning butter lamps and vases for holding water and flowers are also generally made of a metal such as iron or brass. Some religious musical instruments are also made of metal.
