Bone ornaments are worn in tantric ceremonies. Like the jewels and ornaments worn by deities of the pacific type, ornaments made out of bone and skulls are worn by tantric deities of the wrathful category. The ornaments include chain of skulls, necklace of bones and small carvings and mail made out of fine bone shapes struck together. Although humans bones are commonly mentioned in the texts, many bone ornaments today are made of animal bones.
