Chantyal/Chantel

The Chantyal are an ethnic group of Nepal who speak a Tibeto-Burman language of the same name. According to the 2001 census of Nepal, 5,912 people speak Chantyal as a mother tongue and there are 9,814 ethnic Chantyal. (Mark Turin – June 01, 2004)
