Sling Game
Young men and women often use slings to throw stone. One has to have a good practice in using the sling in order to throw the stone in the right direction. Slings are made from yak hair and commonly used in making a clapping noise to call or chase a highland animal. When the sling is used to know a stone, a small stone is placed in the sling and the sling is swirled around at great speed. When the person lets the thin end of the sling to go, the stone flies out. Although slings were widely used by cow and yak herders, there is no real practice of public competitions betwen people.
