Salam Dropa

This is Bhutanese board game using a chart which resembles snakes and ladders. The sections are marked with different syllables and the various existential realms and paths and stages to enlightenment. A die with the six syllables printed on it is used in the game. Depending on the syllable which shows on the die, people move their tokens either upward to enlightenment or downward to the lowest realms of existential status. The chart contains the various option of rebirth and also the many stages to reach enlightenment. It is the only game which has a very sophisticated Buddhist worldview and spiritual concept of development and deterioration incorporated in a game.
