Many Bhutanese communities have captivating and emotional stories of love and romance which are based on true lives. Although there is no written record of the subjects, there are many oral stories of young couples in love, some of them with tragic ends and others with a happy ending. A classic example is the love story of Gasa Lamai Senge and Galem of Chang.
