Pholha
Pholai is an annual ritual in the Ura village in Bumthang in order to propitiate a certain male deity. During the ritual, people go to fetch a young tree from the mountains. The tree is juniper, fir or some others depending on the family traditiona and this attached with a tall bamboo. A flag made these two and a small piece of cloth is hoisted on the rooftop around twilight with specific words of invitation to a meal. The following day, a meal of a special dish of Bramnyai is displayed in the attic of the house.
