Authentic assessments refer to an assessment measure used by teachers to evaluate students’ capacities to apply the classroom learning to real-life situations. Authentic assessments are often contrasted with more conventional assessment measures, such as multiple choice tests, that evaluate a students’ ability to recall the information learned during the instructional unit.
