Systematic Review

Systematic review refers to a research method in which researchers synthesize the results of a number of studies that examine the same research question. Researchers use a predetermined strategy in which to identify studies for review in an effort to reduce selection bias. Systematic reviews often include a meta-analytic component, in which the data is examined for broad statistical trends. However, they can also be conducted using only qualitative methods.
