Interpeduncular nucleus

Consistent group of cell bodies along the ventral line of the midbrain in vertebrates between the cerebral peduncles. It contains evenly-spaced arterioles running parallel from rostral to caudal throughout the nucleus. The habenulo-interpeduncular fasciculus terminates here. Functionally, the structure of glial cells in the interpeduncular nucleus are regulated by gonadal hormones.
